Donate for Disease Research
Upon death you can now donate your tissues for disease research. We will then take small tissue samples from all over the body and match them with projects that we have on hand.
Projects range from bio-marker development for early cancer detection kits all the way to drug development research.
One donor can help many others.
Though our primary goal is tissue recovery for disease research, we also want more for our donors and their families. So, we partner with multiple organizations to contribute to as many projects as possible to best honor the gift.
Disease research projects range from drug development, disease research studies, bio-marker development, etc.
Surgical research projects include new innovative devices for tumor elimination, trauma surgery skill development, orthopedic surgery training, etc.
We partner with local surgical institutions and national surgical skills labs to ensure that no gift goes unused and that every donor has an opportunity to contribute to enhance the life saving skills of surgeons.
Without donors, those surgeons cannot practice critical care scenarios in a realistic way. Difficult, rare or trauma related surgical scenarios are best perfected with donors and not with live patients.
Bright Bioservices will never send your whole body donation outside the United States. The body will only be used within a closed system of surgical education facilities located within the United States. However, small tissue samples recovered for research sent to reputable facilities may be sent outside the United States. International collaboration is essential for developing therapies to combat debilitating diseases.
Though international work on whole bodies is essential, there is an inherent risk when transporting a whole body or large body parts overseas. The legitimate use, disposition, and appropriate venues are always areas where serious problems can occur. The safest destination for our loved ones' bodies is always within the confines of our borders, where US laws are the most stringent in the world.
Give us a call at (602) 858-7799 to see if donation is right for you. If you live in Maricopa County, we will be happy to meet with you.
